It has been found that the parent’s involvement in their kid’s education is diminishing day by day.  It is becoming a major problem in the field of kid’s education. Parents put their kids in to school that they think is best in the town and forget. It should be a continuous process to look after the kids through their elementary school up to at least higher secondary level. Involvement in the kid’s education is equally important as the quality of education in school. Putting your kids in best school does not mean that you as parents do not have any responsibility as regards to their education.

Many schools are taking steps so that parents should participate in different activities organized by schools like teachers-parents meeting and others. Children whose parents take active role in their kid’s education are most likely to perform well through out their whole academic careers and even in their own adult life as well.

Some of these involvements which are beneficial for the kids in their educational up liftmen are described below.

Parents should spend time with their kids and help them to finish their homework. They should ask their children about what they did in school. They must support them in different activities like drawing, reading story books and explain them the meaning. Parents should also involve with them in various craft activities. They will feel more secure and it will show in his or her academic performances. Even teachers now days give such homework in which parent’s involvement must be there. Kids of active parents are more regular in attending classes and complete their homework on time as compared to the parents who involved less. Signing into the progress report and shouting at them for bad result will not solve the issue at all. Such kids will show positive outlook and good behavior all through their student life and also as an adult.

Starting from very childhood, parents are the first teacher for their children. More you get involved with your kids in their childhood; they are most likely to achieve flying colors in their education also. The family surroundings and locality also plays an important role for shaping up the nice future of the children. Living in a better locality where most of the parents give emphasis on the studies of their children proves to be very effective. Kids are seen in taking active part in extra curricular activities also.

Starting from the elementary schools till up to their very secondary education, kids actually needs parents support and care towards their education whether they speak out or not. It is being seen that as kids grow up, slowly the involvement from their parents become less and less. There can be many reasons for it but the only thing that matters to them is that they feel detached. Behavioral and attitudinal changes are seen in the kids of such parents.

In real sense, the parents should always be involved with their children whether they are student or employed in one of the best firm. Parent’s emotional support to their children is a great thing, and that they should be never deprived anytime.

Teachers also believe that parents who take part in decision making for their children like deciding to taking up some language courses, majoring in the subjects, costs involving in the higher education matters a lot for them.

In the present day society when everyone is busy with their own job or business problem, parents have little or no time for the involvement with regards to their kid’s education and in general. For this reasons many schools are conducting the teachers-parents meeting near to their homes or business and at the perfect timings so that they can join with not much problem. Teachers are not solely responsible for the kid’s education, efforts from the parents’ matters a lot.
