The survey conducted by American Express and Jean Chatzky on the discussions about ‘money matters’ amongst the American families has lead to the National Money Talk which would be conducted on 16th September. American Express has collaborated with personal finance expert Jean Chatzky and aims to boost families and persuade them to talk about financial responsibility with their kids during the ‘National Money Night Talk’
The survey results showed that the American families are having money talks at their homes now, more than ever before, but are still looking for better tool and techniques to help them guide these discussions more effectively and efficiently. Statistically, the survey results said that nearly eighty-eight percent of the parents and about seventy nine percent of the kids had or were going through a conversation on the importance of savings and investments and the importance of money before they could overspend. On the other hand, sixty two percent of the parents still feel that they need advanced means and measures to help them with the ways to teach their kids the importance of money.
