Women love to spend their time with computer more than anything
else. It has been revealed in the study that working women prefer to
spend time with their computer rather than with their husbands and
boyfriends. It has been estimated that they spend almost three times as
much time with the computer rather than with their partners.
According to the poll conducted, American women spend 9.3 hours a day on an average with their computer as compared with only 3.6 hours with their better halves.
It has also been found that there is only one in five women who said, she wished to spend more time with her partner than to her computer. It is the result of an online survey conducted by Harris Interactive.
There are nearly two-thirds of women who spent more time with computer than they do shopping and eight in every ten women spent more time with it than they do exercise. There are four in ten who spent more time with online as compared to their family.
Apart from sticking to the computer, next major time devotion of the women goes to sleep. They sleep at an average of 7.6 hours. Most of the online women users are in the age group of 18-34 years and they spend more time online than their male counterparts.
The percentage of such women is increasing rapidly. The researchers found that the young women find more sites online that are relevant to them. Also the phenomenon of the social networking sites are one among the most important reasons for being more interesting to women than anything found online before. However, women also enjoy online shopping, trading, and chatting. Even there are many websites which attracts women population such as the websites on the topics like health and beauty, dating website, zodiac signs, and match making.
As most of the women who spend their time with computers online, are mainly into shopping, chatting, and dating. It is really sad, because there are lots of constructive things also that woman can do if they have enough time to spend online. They can learn many new things online.
For many years cyberspace has only young men audience but in recent time young women population have taken the lead in key age groups. There have been increased in the rate of silver surfers spending time online. Especially the pensioners above the age of 65s are also among the active surfers. They particularly search news and local information on the web.
