Cleaning the bathtub is very important. Maybe you’ve been putting it off, but the truth is that you do need to get around to it – because the bathtub is something you use every day. We shall give you some simple cleaning tips to ensure your bathtub looks spick and span!
First, you need a good pair of rubber gloves – invest in a good pair for all the tub scrubbing – that way your hands won’t get dried out from the cleaner that you use. Next, you need to find something suitable to scrub with – maybe you could use an old sponge, maybe you can use a mop – whatever you use, just make sure you’re comfortable with it and that you are not straining either your arms or your back. Here’s a quick tip – if you’re using a mop, be careful not to use it too many times, as they tend to pick up bacterial infection really fast.
A good cleaner is important – find one that has a good smell, preferably is made of natural ingredients, and softens up the dirt so that scrubbing is easier for you. You would probably need to try out a few cleaners in the market before you eventually find the perfect one that suits your purpose.
Spray the cleaner, and then start scrubbing at the scum and the dirt. Add a little water – which would help to get rid of the loose dirt. One of the cleaning tips is to start at the back part of the tub, the furthest from the drain, and then work towards the drain – so that when you rinse it all off, you are not rinsing dirt over already cleaned portions. Also, remember to clean around the tub before cleaning the inside – as the dirt will probably seep down the sides of the tub. Wipe down after rinsing.
